Engineering a Fashion Archive
In the Fall 2025 semester, the Bucknell Fashion Archive collaborated with Bucknell’s first year engineering class “Engineering 100” to study textile conservation and exhibition. Engineering Professor Hannah Yocum and Archive Curator Natalie Shoch collaborated to give students an opportunity to study archive pieces. Each group of students were assigned a piece from the collection, and given the task of examining fiber content, researching it’s history, and coming up with a plan to address it’s storage and exhibition needs.
