Spring 2025 Exhibit: From the Met Gala to The Bucknell Fashion Archive

May 2025 saw the Bucknell Fashion Archive’s inaugural exhibit. Held in the Harvey Power’s Theater, the exhibit debuted on the day of the Met Gala, an annual event that supports and celebrates the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The exhibit was curated by Natalie Shoch and featured the work of Bucknell students in Professor Carly Holzwarth’s “Colorful Fashion Histories” class, as well as highlighting the archival research that had been done by Presidential Fellow Isabelle Mania. Featured pieces from the archive mirrored a variety of Met Gala themes from throughout the years, and displayed the variety of Bucknell’s collection.

Bucknell’s Class in “Colorful Fashion Histories” provided in- depth research on the various Met Gala themes features in the exhibit. Click the links below to read their analyses.
